Green Grass and High Tides on The Jersey Shore

Brown Grass and Curb Appeal on The Jersey Shore

Ok – we’ve just been through a searing heat wave and some of our lawns look like the Mojave, so what should we do?

There’s a Toms River, NJ company that will paint your lawn! Yes, you read that correctly, paint your lawn! so from Brick, to Barnegat to Tuckerton, you can a green lawn.
Before your very eyes, the dried, beige grass suddenly becomes green and lush. It was the work of the owner of Lawn Smart USA, of Toms River. He said was watching a football game one day last year and saw a report on workers painting the grass before the game. It occurred to him that if he could find green paint, he could dye grass on people's lawns.

I know what everyone is thinking, ‘paint?’ Well it’s not really paint it’s a dye called kaolin, often used as a pigment additive in paints and is the same materials the NFL and ballparks use and it breaks down into nitrogen and helps the grass grow. It is completely safe, environmentally friendly, pet and child safe, and safe for sewer systems.

The average 1,000-square-foot home uses about 7,000 gallons of water per month to keep the lawn lush and green, but this service costs an average of $140 for a 1,000-square-foot front lawn, according to his website www.lawnsmartusa.com. The dye is designed to last three months, depending on the season, and it does not fade because of rain or watering.

No need to dye the lawns at this pristine home in Beachwood.
